George III era 'Corner Chair'. This style of chair was made to accomodate the full dresses of the costume of the period and gentlemen could sit without removing their sword. Our reproduction is copied from an 18th Cent.originial with a history of descent in a Southampton County, Virginia family. Now it resides in a private collection in Williamsburg.
