Threaded Candlestand Adjustable candlestands of this design were used in the 17th and 18th centuries. The tray as well as the candle holder will turn on the threaded center column to be adjusted up or down. The tray could be used as a place to hold 'necessities for any domestik task needing goode light'. Typically painted with a very durable paint made of milk, lime, and earth colors. The originial this was copied from is a Salmon or Pumpkin color. Also nice in Mustard, Barn Red, Black, Green, Soldier Blue. Any milk paint color available. Aged, distressed finish and tin candle holders. We promise to warp the tray and age the tin work for an authentic aged appearance. Approx. 43" tall $295
