Our Yorktowne Tavern Table - Tables such as this were popular in taverns during the 17th and 18th centuries. Sturdy and versatile, they were easily moved about the room as required, which accounts for the wear found on the feet of most original examples. This version of the popular tavern table design features splayed legs and a sturdy box stretcher and a dovetailed drawer. These reproductions are entirely handmade, with breadboard ends on the pine top, and an authentic looking aged and distressed finish. Shipped in two cartons, it is easily assembled without the use of tools, simply turn 4 wooden toggles to firmly fasten the top in place, and it is ready for use. Available in any milk paint color with a scrubbed pine top. $990
